Spa (ghetti) and the luge

Wow, it feels like ages since we told you anything of our travels. We've been back in NZ for almost a week now, but didn't really have internet access for most of it, hence no updates. It's probably easiest if we start with the present and work our way backwards. We are now at Saturday night, and are in Cambridge once again with the fab Kate, Pheebs (and of course Jason - the sexy beast). We arrived here yesterday afternoon, whiling away the time before Kate and Pheebs finished work with a bit of pool and juke box action (plus a bit of tequila for Sally). We then had an evening of comfort eating, preparing ourselves for a day of both relaxation and fun fun fun on this day of Saturday. This morning we were awoken to Eggs Benedict (cooked by Pheebs - very yummy), then after a bit of trimming the verge we made our way to egg town (aka rotorua) and went for a dip in the termal pools at the polynesian spa. Toasty. (This is us 'beyonceying' in the water). After a spot of lunch we headed up the skylift for lugeing it large, and how we loved it. There is talk of Kate and Pheebs getting a season pass. Anyone who passes through rotorua should give it a whirl it's ace. We finished our day with another round of spag bol and chocolate rum cake, this time with the added delight of pate to start. A good day was had by all.

Hey girls! Thanks for stopping by for lunch last week; shame we didn't get to hang out in Roto Vegas. After I came to say goodbye to you, Katherine said, "You could've talked to them for longer." Not sure why I'm so socially retarded--didn't mean to make it seem so rushed--I just thought you were sort of in a hurry to get wherever it is you were going next.

In any case, have a great rest of your trip and hope to see you again!

PS: I do think the library cafe we ate at IS open on Sundays.

How good is the Spa? We spent hours in there when we were in Rotorua. Will need to try lugeing next time, especially after going go-karting the other night...it was ace!

Can't believe I just deleted my comment twice! Thats a new kind of dumb! Anyway here's what it said (both times!):

Fred, I think you just like to try particular sports where you get to wear something on your head!

It's sad to think that your little adventure together is soon to come to an end girls, but the individual adventures you both face now are so exciting too!! Sally you're going home to weddings and a beautiful niece, and Kt you're coming back to Welli - Yay! I hope your last week together as hoochie and smoochie will be FANTASTIC! I look forward to hearing about it in your next update.

    Hiya Sal!

Just wanted to let you know that all three of us will be coming up on the Saturday, and have booked the Monday off work so will be there for two nights. I am so excited about seeing you again that it nearly makes me cry - I can't wait for you to see Elsie and all the amazing things she can do now.

You will have to come down and stay in Bristol before you get on with real life again. I was going to say you should come down with us when we leave and then get the train back up a few days later - but mum would probably deck me!!!

It must be hard to imagine that your marvellous adventures over there are almost over, but just remember you are coming home to so many people who love you more than words can say.

By the way, I had an incredibly vivid dream last night that I was a Mexican slave working down a mine, and I escaped with two of my fellow slaves and we went back years later to exact our revenge on the tyrannical slave owner a la Count of Monte Cristo, it was amazing! So, I think that is my next novel sorted!!

    See you very very soon x x x x
