Saturday in Island Bay

Hello my friends. Sorry for the complete lack of postage in the last week and a half. Much has been happening. We have finally left the hostel behind (for now at least) and are now ensconced in our new house in Island Bay. These photos you see here are some pictures from last Saturday when Laura and Fred came to stay. We went on a lovely refreshing walk along the front followed by a roast beef dinner (kindly cooked by Laura, with a little help from Fred and Sal). Blissful. Intellectual conversation followed with many new and interesting facts being discussed (mostly thanks to the Bill Bryson book I am currently reading!!). For example did you know that for most of the 1980's and 1990's the furthest planet from the sun was in fact Neptune, and not Pluto? We did not know this. And yes, I am now 24. Thanks for the birthday greetings everyone. How are you all? We have not had contact for so long I feel you must have some news for us? Anyhoo, better be off, dad should be trying to message me at any moment in the hope we can get the web cam working again. Very exciting!! Does anyone else have a webcam? We could have a visual chatty thing then. Groovy!! Kt. xx

    Hi again you guys!

It's me once more, depressingmyself with tales of your adventures while sitting in my little office in Aberdeen. By the way Kt, when you guys come back and you ever come up to Aberdeen it will be nice to actually meet you, haha!

It must be nice to be settled in one place now yeah? That picture on your post of the sea crashing on the rocks (2nd or 3rd one down) is AMAZING. It looks like a stunning place to be, so much so that I have printed it out. The picture of course, not the place...

Just had a chat with Fred on msn. In between almost endless insuluts back and forth (such is the nature of our friendship, is that just a guy thing?!),he too says what a fantastic time everyone's having. Good on you guys, wish I'd done the same thing instead of starting studying again this year.

Anyway, I'll let you get on with your exciting adventures. Take vare and have fun!

    Al.

Hey Dodders! Great to hear from you. I feel that you should take over the role of greatest commentator on our blog while my mum is away on her holidays (hense the strange silence from 'sally's mum'. Island Bay is indeed lovely and our wee hoosie gorgeous. Best of all (I know you'll like this) there's an ace video shop down the road, where you can rent 6 DVD's for ten dollars (about four quid) Hurrah! Off now to experiment with vare xx

Apologies for erratic bracketing above, and the erratic spelling!

By the way, if you're wondering whether Fred is experimenting with alchemey above, he's merely trying to light our extremely large and tempestuous oven (it's rather like and opera diva). Right, now I really am going!

I feel I should defend myself, yes I may be wee but I could wield a power more powerful than you can imagine! Henceforth, I should like to be referred to as "Powerful Mer-Fred the Dutch."

Never mind whatever power you can wield. I will strike you down and no, you won't come back more powerful than all the Star Wars quotes put together!
